"We have just returned home after a very relaxing week staying in the Nurses Cottage this was our 2nd stay in the cottage. From early morning walks around the village with our dog to walking the trail and much more, after which it was back to Hertberts tea rooms for a cream tea that welcomed us and our dog inside. Not forgetting the warm welcome from the village residents including the cats!! Thank you."

"Nurses Cottage quite simply is lovely, the living room with a log burner for us was quiet a luxury and the main bedroom had a wonderful village view from the window. We also really enjoyed nearby Ashbourne with its antique shops and coffee stops along the way. If you want to explore Derbyshire, Tissington Village Nr Ashbourne is a great place, and can we just recommend the coffee shop in Tissington village, a lovely selection of treats..."

"Thank you for a lovely stay at Hooper’s Barn, next time we will stay at Gardeners Cottage so we can bring along some extra family to show them is wonderful and enchanting village."
Tissington is one of the prettiest and most unspoilt villages not only in Derbyshire but in the whole of the country. An avenue of 200 year old lime trees immediately creates an air of expectancy as you drive into the village. On arrival you are welcomed by neat well looked after gardens and limestone cottages, behind wide grass verges and backed by mature trees. The moment you arrive you mmediately start to relax and unwind. No planner designed Tissington Village; its beauty is the result of evolution.
