"Tissington village is really lovely. It's got a village pond with crazy wandering ducks, a olde worlde sweet & antique shop & a superb butchers amongst others. The Hall is beautiful & you can potter around the village, visit the Hall or go on the Tissington trail. Well worth a visit if you are in the Buxton area."
Tripadvisor Review 2015
"I have been inundated with calls from ladies of Groby WI all wanting me to congratulate yourselves on a wonderful Christmas event. I have organised many trips but this one has had the most comeback, all with compliments."

“Christmas "What the Dickens"
It's their first Christmas opening and our party of 16 were delighted. Each room was dressed to perfection with a Dickensian theme. We were met by Lord & Lady Fitzherbert and had a guided tour of the hall. Our welcome was as warm as the cracking log fires. The prebooked lunch was well served and good value, the church and village are lovely and this trip set the scene for Christmas.

May I convey thanks on behalf of myself, my wife and friends during our visit today to the Dickens event at the Hall. We found ourselves entering a large historical house, and eventually leaving a home of warmth and friendliness conveyed by all at Tissington Hall. Would you on our behalf express our thanks to Sir Richard and Lady FitzHerbert for an excellent experience within their home, and the tea rooms.

A slightly belated Thankyou for a really enjoyable evening. We were most impressed with all the care taken with the rooms, including sound effects, it was beautifully done and I do hope that you had plenty of weekend visitors to appreciate it. The story readings by the fireside were perfect, well worth the wet and windy hours drive from Sheffield. I hope that you will repeat it next year,
