"I am not one to write reviews, but have made an exception in this case simply because Tissington Village is what you would call an unspoilt treasure in Derbyshire and should be shared, it boasts a real old style country village feel yet is surround by something for everyone, the barn had everything we needed for a comfortable break and I would recommend anyone wishing to explore Derbyshire to consider Tissington and Hoopers Barn as the perfect base."

"We have visited the Peak District on many occasions over the years, but this was the first time we had based ourselves in Tissington Village. My husband wanted to explore the nearby Hall and we both enjoy a gentle cycle ride and Tissington Trail offered the perfect way to spend a few hours, I can’t praise the location enough and the barn was perfect for our needs with everything you could want from a cosy living space to comfortable bedroom, We will certainly be along again soon."
Tissington is one of the prettiest and most unspoilt villages not only in Derbyshire but in the whole of the country. An avenue of 200 year old lime trees immediately creates an air of expectancy as you drive into the village. On arrival you are welcomed by neat well looked after gardens and limestone cottages, behind wide grass verges and backed by mature trees. The moment you arrive you mmediately start to relax and unwind. No planner designed Tissington Village; its beauty is the result of evolution.
