We can offer facilities for wedding ceremonies & small drink receptions at Tissington Hall between 1st November - 31st March.
The Jacobean Main Hall is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100 guests and the first floor Drawing Rooms can accommodate 60 guests. If the weather is fine, couples can get married in the gardens, under the Arcade, with guests watching the ceremony from the Terrace steps.
Alternatively, it may be possible to marry in the beautiful Norman Church of St. Mary in the village of Tissington. St Mary's Info
We can offer the Pink Bedroom suite in the Hall for brides to get ready in before the wedding itself, so that your day is as relaxing as possible.
After the wedding ceremony, a summer drinks reception is usually held in the Rose Garden. As the warm evening sunshine sets slowly over the arboretum, the heady scent of roses lingers in the air. The background tinkle of champagne glasses and the lilting notes from a string quartet create a magical atmosphere. This is also a dramatic setting for your photographs.
Guests then make their way through the gardens to the 10-acre arboretum where our new wedding marquee is sited amongst the rare trees. Our caterers, The Red Olive (see www.theredolive.co.uk) have been selected because they offer fantastic food, the highest standards of service and competitive prices. They offer a flexible range of served and buffet menus to suit your taste and budget and will be happy to meet you and discuss your plans in more detail. The Red Olive also provide a range of wines and champagnes that are carefully selected and sensibly priced, or you can bring your own and they will charge a modest corkage fee to cover the cost of storage, cooling and service.

“Tissington Hall was absolutely the right choice as our wedding venue; it is stylish, has character, charm yet is also intimate and welcoming. No other venue in the Midlands comes close as far as I'm concerned, it was an easy choice. We felt like film stars all day. ” Louise and Dan
