Located at the southern edge of the Peak District National Park, the Estate extends to just under 2000 acres, centred on Tissington Hall. In total there are 46 residential properties with approximately 70% them being listed. The majority of the properties are two-bedroom cottages. There are 40 acres of woodland dotted about the Estate which is split into 85% broadleaves and 15% conifers and are subject to various Woodland Grant Schemes.
There are 6 farms on the Estate ranging from two dairy herds of 250 head and 50 head respectively to sheep and beef units of varying sizes. There is fishing and shooting on the Estate and details of these activities can be acquired from contacting email@example.com

In 2006 Sir Richard was awarded The Bledisloe Gold Medal through RASE (The Royal Agricultural Society of England) for recognition of a landowner who ‘has demonstrated outstanding achievements in the successful land management and development of an agricultural estate in England’. Other winners over the years include The Duke of Devonshire at Chatsworth and the Earl of Leicester at Holkham in Norfolk.
