About The Area

Tissington Village is situated at the southern edge of the Peak District National Park, 5 miles north of Ashbourne and 15 miles south of Bakewell. The village has a population of 100 people amidst the lush grazing landscape that boasts two dairy herds and several sheep and beef farms. The Peak District is in the centre of Britain with over 20 million people being within 90 minutes’ drive time of the park. The terrain ranges from the meadows of the White Peak (near Dovedale and Ashbourne) to the harder grittier area of The Dark Peak, North of Bakewell and Buxton around Mam Tor.
